Runner's timing? Where to get ?

Postby evelynep on Mon Jul 21, 2008 11:58 pm

Hi on the shape run website.. can we find the runner's timing? Or is it only at the padang ? Or it only for winners? Thanks.

Yes, can Shape advise where we can get our race timing? Can it be done like how Great Eastern does it? They posted the timings on their site for participants to download.

I guess u need to be patient. Coz they seems to be very slow in their work. Perhaps u need to wait till a week to know your timings.

usually, within 2 days, race timings will be out. shape is taking so long to publish.

yeah...1 week is way tooooo long n we're toking abt 8000 runners, not 18k or 80k.

passion run 08 had roughly the same no. of participants and results were out the very next day!!! not to mention some other bigger scale races of which timings were available on the web on the same day.

still, we must be grateful for there r also race organisers who don't publish timings at all e.g. mizuno

Hallos Shape Run Team,

It's already nearly 3pm of 25Jul08. I have checked the site a couple of times today. No sign of timings being put up yet.

Although i am really grateful that Shape has organised such event, i am truly disappointed with their inefficiency in replying enquiries emails and posting of run time results and photos.

Compared to Great Eastern run that is priced around the same as Shape run, they provide timings and photos usually on the same day of the run or the day after. For runners who have completed GE 10K run, they are also given a medal other than the certificate.

So i was wondering if the Shape run really justify the registration cost.

Just my own opinion.

My timing is not recorded!

Postby jov on Fri Jul 25, 2008 6:31 pm

I can't find my timing!!!! Did any of you have this problem?? I only collected my bib on Wed at the Sports School because I missed the carnival. Is this the reason why my timing is not on the chart? Darn!

Inaccurate Timing

Postby mus1c80 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 6:41 pm

I found my timing but it's inaccurate.
Isn't the timing device supposed to start timing when we passed the gantry?
Anyway according to my stop watch, it should be 3 mins lesser.
Sigh...wateva I guess.

Timing is gun time. This is the same as any other run regardless wat kind of timing chip used. But organiser should work out the nett time and check point time. Other organiser could do for 30000, 40000 people, shape run only 8000, shouldn't be that difficult.
