Results on website not our chip timing!

Postby liuzhen on Sat Jul 26, 2008 11:44 am

Due to the crowd, some of us started late, so the official timing posted online is longer than our individual chip timing..can we know our individual timings instead??

Inaccurate Timing

Postby mus1c80 on Sat Jul 26, 2008 1:05 pm

Can't agree more!

Shape Run Organisers might as well place a large digital clock at the finishing line if that's the case. No need for any timing chip device.

No doubt they might be rushing to provide us our results online but they should do a good job nonetheless!

This totally defeats the purpose of publishing results online. I already knew my timing when I reached the finishing point.

Shape Run Organisers, we're runners who truly care about our timings, not bimbos who just go for goodie bags and free tees. Period.

Yup, the timing posted online was exactly the same timing I saw when I crossed the End point.

Was telling my friend our net timing should be better since we had walked a fair bit that day before reaching the Start point. After waiting for almost a week we ended up seeing the same timing instead of the net time ?
Why like that ?

:(

I did not take part in the last 2 runs ( 2006 & 2007) , didn't they encounter similar issue ?

Yes, the timing is the same as what I saw on that digital clock at the finishing line. We should be told what is the exact chip timing. The Singapore Marathon does that, Shape Run should be able to provide that too.

You gals are spot-on.....we only 'officially' passed thru the opening arch after walking some distance in probably about one to two minutes, 'cos of the crowd..so the timing we saw as we went past the finishing line could not have been the 'correct' one, right?

Hope to have some answers from the organisers...it'd make my day to know for certain that I actually did better than what was posted on the site! :)

Its true that the timing result is not our actual timing.

I am the last one to run and yet i got a heart pain results timing similar to when i crossed the finishing line. Its really very disappointing... :(

When i walk pass the starting point, i didnt hear any beep sound.. i thought it was because too noisy.. Now i know it is because there arent any device at the start point that activate the start of our timing!

Only when we pass the finish point, then i heard the beep sound that records the timing.

I doubt there will be any nett timing for all. I seriously don think shape run is well organised to be a competitive run event. More suitable as a fun run without timing! Perhaps u should learn more from other events organiser like Std Char, GE women 10k, etc.. before reconsidering organising a run next year!

My timing is wrong!!!

Postby snowzy on Wed Jul 30, 2008 12:29 am

I am really really very disappointed with Shape Run this year.
1st, they wrote my name wrongly.
2nd, I have to stop for traffic during the run.
than now when I see the result posted online, I was totally SHOCKED!!!
They've overclocked my timing by a good 30 Mins!!!!!
This run has been my best timing so far, and now they posted the wrong timing online!!!
This is really ridiculous.
